Introduction  

Welcome to the second edition of the Social Librarian....an e-zine dedicated to sharing the philosophy of social marketing with librarians everywhere.
We intend to publish every two weeks with articles, letters, case studies (or "stories") about social marketing in a way that will help you all be more effective librarians.

As of June 6, 2003 the new standard for Metropolitan Statical Areas was put into effect. The new standards known as Core Based Statical Areas (CBSAs), both replace and supersede the previous standards used to define MSAs.
